Northbrook Residence
In this large single family home the challenge was to bring a sense of flow and continuity from one room to another. At the same time the various functions of each room had to be clear. The family room custom millwork storage unit that stretches 20'-0" from one side of the room to another serves as an anchor and focal point. Modular seating and ottomans add additional seating space for the weekly family gatherings. The thick piled custom rug adds softness and texture. Each room has its own identity, but all flow together in this open plan home.
